This website includes public information on public procurements awarded by the Statutory City of Brno. The primary goal of this website is to provide the public with easier access to the awarded public procurements. The website includes:

A link to the Contracting Authority’s profile in the sense of Act No. 134/2016 Coll., on public procurements.

Information on the progress of small-scale, low-limit, and above-limit public procurements.

Links to similar websites from the city districts within the Statutory City of Brno.

Current public procurements awarded by the Statutory City of Brno in the low-limit regime for supplies and services, as well as a limit of 50,000,000 CZK (excluding VAT) for construction work, are made public on the Contracting Authority’s profile.

Current low-level public procurements for construction work which is estimated to surpass 50,000,000 CZK (excluding VAT) are made public in the Public Procurement Journal.

Current public procurements awarded by the Statutory City of Brno in the above-limit regime are made public in both the Public Procurement Journal and the Supplement to the Official Journal of the EU.

Current public procurements awarded by the Statutory City of Brno and financed by EU funds and other funds are also made public on the subsidy providers’ websites.

Types of Public Procurements

In accordance with Act No. 134/2016 Coll., on the awarding of public procurements, public procurements are divided as follows:

Small-scale public procurement

A small-scale public procurement is understood as a public procurement with an estimated value that does not surpass 2,000,000 CZK (excluding VAT) for supplies or services, or 6,000,000 CZK (excluding VAT) for construction work. According to Decision R8/034 of the Brno City Council, small-scale public procurements are divided as follows:

Small-scale public procurements for supplies, services, and construction work from 1 CZK to 50,000 CZK (excluding VAT)

  • Small-scale public procurements for supplies, services, and construction work from over 50,000 to 200,000 CZK (excluding VAT)
  • Small-scale public procurements for supplies, services, and construction work from over 200,000 to 2,000,000 CZK (excluding VAT) and small-scale public procurements for construction work from over 200,000 to 6,000,000 CZK (excluding VAT)
  • Small-scale public procurements for services – representation of the Contracting Authority in performing actions related to the procurement procedure according to § 43 ZZVZ – from over 50,000 to 2,000,000 CZK (excluding VAT)
  • Small-scale public procurements for services – representation of the Statutory City of Brno – Brno City Municipality, as a party to proceedings before the courts of the Czech Republic in key legal disputes between the Statutory City of Brno – Brno City Municipality – from over 50,000 to 2,000,000 CZK (excluding VAT)

Small-scale public procurements for services – expert opinions or statements of experts according to § 42 paragraph 3) ZZVZ – from over 50,000 to 2,000,000 CZK (excluding VAT)

Low-limit public procurement

A low-limit public procurement is understood as a public procurement with an estimated value of at least 2,000,001 CZK (excluding VAT) for supplies and services, or at least 6,000,001 CZK (excluding VAT) for construction work, which does not reach the financial limit according to § 25 of Act No. 134/2016 Coll., on the awarding of public procurements

Above-limit procurement

An above-limit procurement is understood as a public procurement where, in accordance with § 25 of Act No. 134/2016 Coll., on the awarding of public procurements, the estimated value is equal to or exceeds the financial limit set by the government regulation implementing the relevant regulations of the European Union
