On 16 May, another edition of Brno Expat Fair took place in the heart of Brno. Organized by the Brno Expat Centre (BEC) with the support of the City of Brno, it is the largest event of its kind in the Czech Republic. BEC’s mission is to help skilled foreign professionals and their families find a new home in Brno and integrate successfully into the local community.
Throughout the day, visitors had the opportunity to meet dozens of exhibitors representing employment, finance, legal services, insurance, housing, language education, leisure activities, family support, community organizations, and everyday life in the #BRNOREGION.
The programme also featured expert talks and discussions with lawyers, financial advisors, career coaches, and other specialists addressing many of the challenges international residents may face while living in Brno. Practical workshops, live music, and food from around the world added to the vibrant atmosphere of the event.
The success of the fair was made possible thanks to the efforts of more than 200 members of exhibitors’ teams, over 40 speakers, workshop leaders, and performers, and more than 40 dedicated volunteers. Special thanks also go to the Brno University of Technology, which hosted the event in its new Visitor Centre at the Marketplace (Tržnice) on Zelný trh. Of course, we would also like to recognize the entire Brno Expat Centre team, whose months of preparation helped make the event a success.
