For 9 years now, the Brno iD e-shop of city services has been reliably serving not only Brno residents, but also others, in both Czech and English—365 days a year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
On Monday, March 16, 2026, a meeting of Brno iD partners took place in the inspiring setting of the Brno Observatory and Planetarium.
The meeting summarized the achievements of 2025, presented plans for 2026, and discussed how to further develop services for the residents and visitors of Brno. It also included updates from Brno iD operations, partner collaborations, and a look behind the scenes of other projects. As a bonus, participants watched the new film On the Edge of the Sky.

The afternoon program was smoothly guided by moderator Jiří Kosmotos. Guests were warmly welcomed by Jiří Dušek, Director of the Brno Observatory and Planetarium, followed by an opening address from Anna Putnová, Brno City Councillor for innovation and cooperation with research organizations. Tomáš Aberl, a member of the Brno City Council responsible for sport and information technology, shared his greetings via a pre-recorded video. Additional welcoming remarks were delivered by Martin Příborský, City Councillor for strategic development, metropolitan cooperation, and ITI, as well as Oliver Pospíšil, Secretary of Brno City Hall.

Jaroslav Petrák from the Department of Strategic Development and Cooperation at Brno City Hall offered a concise overview of the results achieved in 2025 and outlined the plans for the year ahead.
Jan Žák from Brno Technical Networks then introduced the preparation of a new module—the “MMB Grant Portal”—and spoke about the use of agile methods in IT project management. Finally, David Zouhar from Trade Fairs Brno shared insights into the implementation of Brno iD within their company and reflected on their first year of using the system in practice.
