days of AI 2023 in Brno from October 9 to 15

AI Days in Brno will show self-driving cars or even robots.

Hackathon, workshops, video games and workshops with AI – this is also part of this year’s AI Days program, organized this year by the association brno.ai, prg.ai in cooperation with the CzechInvest agency and other partners in four cities of the Czech Republic.

The AI Days start in Brno, where there are 20 events on the program in the week from October 9 to 15. In the following weeks, Pilsen, Ostrava and, at the turn of October and November, Prague will follow with their programs, where, among other things, the announcement of the AI Awards, the only industry award in the field of artificial intelligence, will take place.

AI Days 2023 will start in Brno, where the first year was held last year. Throughout the week, participants can look forward to a variety of event formats – apart from lectures and presentations, a large part of the program will be devoted to workshops, panel discussions, hackathons or even quizzes. The common denominator of all will be practicality. Every visitor to AI Days will take away new knowledge and inspiration from experienced guides in the world of artificial intelligence.

The business section AI 4 Business combines the sharing of practical experience from the most professional with narrowly focused seminars. Representatives of Brno companies can come to be inspired and meet the Brno AI scene – Gauss Algorithmic, Datamole, Deloitte, Yunex traffic and others.

Friday’s AI 4 Talents event is connected with education. Through examples of the use of AI, for example in video games or with the robot Pepper, they will try to get promising Brno teenagers excited about this technology or directly studying in the field. Similarly, AI 4 Edu will be held on Monday, aimed primarily at primary and secondary school teachers and other pedagogic workers, on the topic of Searching for the Intellect of the Future.

The widest range of AI applications will be presented by sections aimed at the public – from schoolchildren to seniors. The first of those mentioned under the name AI 4 All will show the connection of artificial intelligence with the real world. In addition to testing the possibilities of generative AI, it will be possible to examine the progress of self-driving vehicles in more detail, specifically on Saturday 14 October 2023 in the Jiří Mahen Library in Brno. In the afternoon part of the program, participants will be able to play an AZ quiz on the go, in which a machine will compete with a human. Workshops with artificial intelligence or gadgets with AI apps will be prepared for children from the age of 8.

The last section focuses on research and public administration. Among other things, AI 4 Research will offer a showcase of Czech research and industrial groups, a program at BUT dedicated to speech recognition and natural language processing (NLP).

Along with the main program, artificial intelligence will also be presented through partner events in the largest Czech cities. Dozens of entities participated in this year’s program. The most interesting events in Brno will surely include a creative afternoon at KUMST under the name Rules have changed, as well as AI and no code/low code hackathons – “hackaton” and AI Sprint: Evening programming hackathon of creativity and Google technology, or the all-day event Day with AI: the latest trends and innovations in the field hosted in the Impact Hub and more.
