The program annually supports gifted students in the natural sciences and technical fields, enabling them to fully focus on their research and further development of their scientific careers. This year’s edition saw record interest—151 applicants competed for the scholarship, from which an expert committee selected the top 25.

This year’s winners come not only from the Czech Republic but also from Brazil, Peru, and China. Their projects include, for example, the use of 3D-printed patches in developing innovative wound dressings containing components such as polysaccharides and natural antiseptics, as well as the development of an ultrafast scanning electron microscope. Profiles of all awardees can be found here.
