Brno has long positioned itself as an international hub of science, research, and innovation, drawing on the talent of nearly 66,000 foreigners living in the city. Around 15% of them are expats—highly qualified international professionals whose work is crucial to the development of Brno and the wider region. This group of approximately 10,000 people includes professionals from countries such as Vietnam, India, the Philippines, and Romania.
The city leadership values their contributions and regularly organizes meetings with the Mayor for them under the title Meet the Mayor. This year, the event will take place on Tuesday, January 13. The annual event supports Brno’s image as a modern and open metropolis that looks to the future, strives for sustainable development, and offers top-quality facilities for international experts.
