Brno is the most attractive city for business in the Czech Republic. This is the result of this year’s nationwide comparative research City for Business.
Brno City Hall is friendly to entrepreneurs and the city offers favourable conditions for business. The analytical agency Datank ranked Pilsen second and Ostrava third. The comparative research is now in its seventeenth year, and Datank evaluates 205 municipalities with extended powers in the Czech Republic in the categories of business environment and public administration approach. The research is announced by the Ekonom weekly, and the partners are the VINCI Construction CS construction group, the Union of Towns and Municipalities and the Centre for Sustainable Future.
In a national comparison, Brno has a very high number of economic entities per 1,000 inhabitants, and their number is growing significantly year after year. The city is thinking about electromobility, at least as evidenced by the highest number of charging stations for electric vehicles, and their number is very high even when calculated per 100 companies. The increase in population is also a promise for the development of the labour market in the future. In terms of the public administration’s approach, the Statutory City of Brno has achieved a great result in mystery testing, which uses fictitious business questions to check how well and how quickly the local trade authorities respond. The city spends sufficient funds, especially in the area of public transport.
We are pleased that Brno’s winning position in the competition reflects the work of all those who strive to make the Moravian capital a good place to live.
