Brno Expat Centre opened its 15th season on 25 September. Don Sparling, co-founder of the Centre, presented the planned activities and innovations, such as the Spouse Programme and Talent Attraction and Integration Management. The aim of the project, supported by the City of Brno, is to coordinate the activities of all actors of the local innovation ecosystem – companies, universities and other organisations, and to raise the profile of the #brnoregion brand in the world. It is a way to attract and retain foreign talented scientists and employees of technology companies in Brno.
The Expat Centre helps qualified foreign professionals and their families before and during their stay in Brno. Thanks to the support of the city, the BEC team is now growing and providing professional services to expats free of charge. Expats come to the Centre to deal with a variety of issues related to their new life. They can take advantage of the services and assistance of experts on site or seek advice in the online guides on the website.
The Centre also organises many events focused on networking, education and culture. The main event is the annual “Living in Brno” opportunity fair.
Brno Expat Centre offers assistance in the following areas:
residence permits, medical services, housing, family, taxes, business, schools, leisure and more.
